Families Outreach Worker
Church of the Good Shepherd Leighton Buzzard
We are seeking a Christian Families Outreach Worker with vision and energy, to grow our outreach to the developing communities on the new housing estates in Leighton Buzzard.
A longer-term aspiration of the project is to develop hubs within the estates for the new communities to meet and experience a vibrant and attractive Christian presence.
The role will be based at the Church of the Good Shepherd (CGS). CGS is an Anglican, missional community that meets in a sports and community centre in the new housing estates.
CGS has established a strong foundation of missional initiatives for the successful candidate to build on.
CGS is within the Ouzel Valley Team Ministry in Leighton Buzzard, which is part of the Anglican Diocese of St Albans.
The person can be lay or ordained.
The role is part-time, 22.5 hours per week, which will include some evenings and weekends.
Funds have been secured for the first 3 years of the project and ongoing fundraising is being carried out to sustain the project beyond this time frame.
