AtaLoss is a Christian-led charity working with all sectors to raise awareness of the impact of bereavement, provide a central signposting service, and train and equip community support, mainly through churches. We are seeking a talented Executive Assistant to provide high-quality administrative, digital and organisational support to the Head of The Bereavement Journey and Church Engagement, with a focus on The Bereavement Journey® online programme and Bereavement Friendly Church activity, to help churches across the UK respond well to bereavement. This is an exciting opportunity for a person with a passion for mission to apply their all-round ability in administration and presentation to a growing charity at a pivotal moment of social transformation.
Contract: Full-time, 12-month fixed term (with expectation to extend)
Location: Remote or hybrid (Chichester/Birdham), with occasional UK travel
Hours: 37.5 per week, Mon–Fri (some evening/weekend work with Time off in Lieu)
Reports to: Head of The Bereavement Journey® & Church Engagement
Requirement: Practising Christian (Schedule 9, Equality Act 2010)
AtaLoss is seeking an organised, proactive Executive Assistant for our Church Engagement department to support the growth of The Bereavement Journey® and our mission to equip churches to become Bereavement Friendly. This full-time role provides key administrative, digital, coordination and delivery support across webinars, events, resources, websites and church engagement activities, helping expand our reach across UK denominations.
Working closely with the Head of The Bereavement Journey® and Church Engagement, you will manage administrative processes, support delivery of online programmes, coordinate communications, update website content and resource practitioners. You will also help identify, assess and organise suitable Bereavement Friendly Church materials and resources, and monitor engagement data to strengthen our effectiveness.
This role suits someone who enjoys varied work, balances detail with initiative, communicates sensitively, and thrives in a purpose-driven Christian environment. As AtaLoss grows nationally, you will contribute to meaningful change in bereavement support within churches and communities.
