Urban Outreach Bolton

On the 26th March, ChristianJobs are partnering with Nazarene Theological College to run our first Careers and Networking Showcase. At ChristianJobs we are passionate about people discovering how they can use their gifts and passions to serve God.

Over the coming weeks, we are going to release updates on the amazing organisations who will be exhibiting at the showcase, to give you a taster on the breadth of opportunities of how you can get involved with Christian organisations.

Steve Bottrill, CEO, shares some of the vision that drives Urban Outreach in Bolton:

At Urban Outreach, we work with some of the most profoundly disadvantaged and distressed individuals and families suffering the effects of poverty in all its forms.  Our vision is to see all the people of Bolton have the opportunity to flourish, realise their full potential and live lives which are free from poverty, abuse, neglect, crime, controlling substances and any sense of failure.

At the Careers and Networking Showcase we will be promoting all of our project activities which are grouped in 3 thematic areas – food based projects, Children and Families and Adult Support.

There are a number of ways you can get involved with the work we do:

  • Volunteering with us;

  • Undertaking a challenge to raise funds to support specific projects; and/or

  • Taking a placement with us which supports and enhances their studies and God’s calling upon their lives

As a charity, we exist to “bind up the broken-hearted and set the captives free” (Isaiah 61:1) and to “let His banner over me be love”  (Song of Songs 2:4).

Come along to meet the team from Urban Outreach and see how they can work with you to develop your gifts, and the impact you could be making on some of the most profoundly disadvantage people of Bolton.
