Support Worker (Full Time)

Location: The Haven, Horsecraigs, Kilmacolm
Salary: £27,000 per annum (rising to £29,000 through progression) + Sleepover Allowance (~£2,000)
Hours: 40 hours per week, including sleepover shifts
Contract: Permanent

The Role

We are seeking a Support Worker with a heart for people and a commitment to Christian service. You’ll play a key role in supporting residents on their recovery journey through emotional, practical, and spiritual guidance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and group support to residents in line with individual care plans.
• Facilitating personal development and life skills sessions.
• Encouraging participation in faith-based activities, including chapel and devotional times.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential records.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
• Taking part in the sleepover rota to ensure residents’ safety and wellbeing.

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines compassion and professionalism with a living Christian faith.

You will:

• Have an active Christian faith and be part of a local church community.
• Share and support the Christian ethos and values of The Haven.
• Hold (or be working toward) SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (SCQF Level 7).
• Have experience in addiction recovery, social care, or community support.
• Be registered (or eligible for registration) with the PVG Scheme and SSSC.
