Do you enjoy managing projects and teams, helping people to thrive in their roles? This is an exciting opportunity to join the Emerge team in Kent! The Kent Area Manager plays a crucial role in empowering our project teams to make a difference to children and young people across the county.
For the Kent Area Manager, we are seeking someone who:
- Is experienced in managing projects and teams
- Has strong inter-personal skills
- Is passionate about supporting children and young people struggling with their mental health.
Emerge Advocacy is a Christian youth work charity that supports children and young people (aged 10-24) who find themselves in A&E due to self-harm, suicide attempt or severe emotional crisis. Our wonderful project teams are in hospitals several days a week to bring a ‘voice of hope’ in the middle of crisis moments, and offer follow-up support in their local communities once young people are discharged from hospital. Each project is overseen by a Project Lead and consists of paid and voluntary Youth Workers.
The Kent Area Manager will support and develop the five Emerge Advocacy projects in Kent, working closely with the Emerge Executive team, Kent Project Leads and NHS Contract Leads. This role is mostly working from home, and will involve paid travel across Kent for meetings, so the applicant must be able to drive and have a car.
