Job overview
The Finance Assistant is responsible for supporting financial operations, budget processes and monitoring, and compliance across the European region.
Specific Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with CV policies and procedures across regional operations, particularly in budget control and financial reporting. This includes the maintenance and development of finance processes relating to the job role - ensuring these are accurate, up to date and being adhered to.
- Support a range of core accounting tasks, including daily bank reconciliations, monthly credit card reconciliations, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Contribute to the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring timely sign-off by the Financial Controller. This includes contribution to an ongoing project of process Improvement - to enhance efficiency and capture the applicable controls.
- Prepare and process payment schedules and invoices, ensuring VAT reports and payments are accurate and compliant with organisational controls.
- Assist and support the broader team with NetSuite (our ERP system), including purchase orders, journal entries, intercompany transactions, and general inquiries.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing statutory annual accounts for audits and Charity Commission filings.
- Liaise with IM Group on matters such as the Company Car Scheme, investment properties, and general financial transactions.
- Manage external vendor records, ensuring correct onboarding processes and adherence to supplier transaction controls.
- Produce supplier statements and aged creditor reports relating to suppliers for the regional hub.
- Support Budget Holders in the preparation of and reporting to budgets, assisting regional operations teams with finance queries while promoting best practice.
- As part of a global organisation, you will be required to collaborate across time zones, which may involve out-of-hours availability from time to time.

Skills, Experience and Education
- Excellent command of the English language both written and spoken.
- GSCEs (Grade 4-9) in Maths and English language are essential
- Level 4 qualification in AAT, is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience in financial management within a European context, with strong understanding of local regulations, accounting standards, and business practices.
- Experience working in multi-cultural teams within international organisations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with tax, accounting and reporting requirements is an advantage.
This is a full-time, office-based role working from our Solihull headquarters in the United Kingdom. We do not offer remote or part-time working and applicants must be authorised to work in the UK.
