Children and Families Worker

Children and families are an important part of our vision. We want to see every child and family that lives in Southport have the opportunity to meet with the God who can change their lives. We have a target of 200 young people (0-18s) connected to Christ Church by 2028. Currently, we have around 70 and on a Sunday we get 15-25 3-11s at Kids Church (supported by a kids team of roughly 12 volunteers). To connect with more children and families and to give them opportunities to encounter Jesus, we need someone who feels called here and has the right set of skills and personality to jump in and lead our children's and family work. We are not looking for perfection (or even mountains of experience) but someone who’s passionate about children and families, and Jesus. We will also be advertising for a youth worker (alongside our Scripture Union Local Mission Partner, Southport & Area Schools Worker Trust, www.saswtrust.com) and you would form a small staff team that would be passionate about working hard, having fun, encouraging each other, and trusting God together.
