Salary: £26,000 pro-rata

Are you a highly organised and proactive individual with a heart for supporting church ministry? Central Church, a vibrant and growing church in the heart of Bristol, is seeking an Operations Assistant to ensure the smooth running of our church life and mission.

Our Sunday services and midweek ministries provide a welcoming space for people to encounter Jesus and grow in faith.
The Role
As Operations Assistant, you will:
- Provide administrative and operational support across church ministries and events.
- Assist in managing church communications, including emails, newsletters, and social media.
- Support the smooth running of Sunday services, discipleship courses, and church activities.
- Oversee key administrative tasks such as room bookings, volunteer rotas, and financial processing.
- Help ensure our church site is well-maintained and welcoming.
This is a key role for someone with strong organisational skills and a passion for supporting the mission of the church behind the scenes.
What We’re Looking For
- A committed Christian with an active and growing faith.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with great attention to detail.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
- Confidence in IT systems, including spreadsheets, emails, and databases (experience with ChurchSuite is a bonus).
- Experience in operational or administrative roles (church or charity experience desirable).
Special Conditions:
There is a genuine occupational requirement for the post-holder to be a Christian. You’ll need to either be a member of Central Church or willing to join us, actively participating in our community life.
