Workplace Minister: Sales Executive (B2B)

The employer is a faith-based social enterprise training followers of Christ to transform nations through their day-to-day work. As a Workplace Minister, you should have an active commitment to the Christian faith. You will build a career based on biblical foundations, as part of a team who believe that work is worship and all believers are ministers.

The role is for a proactive sales executive in a business-to-business setting. Your confidence and effectiveness to establish new relationships will help to drive new business and you will support the marketing strategy as part of a growing marketing team.

Whilst working prayerfully and being led by the Holy Spirit, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Research organisations and individuals online to identify and qualify new prospects.

  • Start relationships with prospective clients by reaching out by telephone and email.

  • Arrange meetings with qualified prospects (online or face-to-face).

  • Follow up with inbound leads.

  • Provide value to prospects based on your understanding of their needs, using resources and services provided by the marketing team.

  • Present the company’s value proposition in meetings and at industry events.

  • Based on your understanding of a prospect’s needs, make relevant recommendations and qualify sales opportunities.

  • Provide support to the marketing team which may include updates to digital media and the development of marketing resources.

  • Manage customer data.

Your measurable results will include:

  • Develop and take part in meetings (face-to-face or online) between the company and qualified prospective clients in major pharmaceutical companies.

  • Develop attendees from qualified prospects to the company’s series of webinars.

  • Provide qualified sales opportunities to the client services team.

As the ideal candidate, you should have either a relevant qualification or a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience. You should have:

  • A passion to be used by God to minister through your work.

  • A genuine desire to help and care for prospective and current clients.

  • Experience in B2B sales or marketing.

  • Confidence to effectively communicate (written and verbally) a company’s value proposition.

  • A proven track record of researching prospects and developing successful business relationships.

  • A warm and friendly manner in person, on the telephone, and by email.

  • A positive proactive attitude with good organisational ability.

  • An aspiration and expectation to learn, grow and be part of a dynamic team.

Hours: The role is full time working 40 hours per week.

Place of work: You will work from the employer’s office in Maidstone with occasional visits to customer sites or other locations.

Remuneration: £20,000 – £28,000 per annum subject to experience.

Term: This is a permanent role.

N.B. There is an occupational requirement for this role to have an active personal commitment to the Christian faith (permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010).
