Children and Families Worker
Our vision is to see children and their families experiencing God, living positive, purposeful and fruitful lives as followers of Jesus, and helping others to do the same. We are looking for someone to join us as our Children and Families Worker to help us to achieve this vision. Duties include:
Engaging proactively with children and their families in and around our congregation and existing ministries, enabling and encouraging people to grow in faith and discipleship.
Taking the lead in gathering and building team across all childrens and families groups - growing, supporting and coordinating our teams of volunteers.
Developing new engagement opportunities with children and their families in the wider Wokingham community, including on new housing developments, collaborating with other local churches, the Council and other agencies as appropriate.
You will have the freedom to shape this ministry within the framework of the church’s CYF vision.
We are a thriving community of all ages, based in the expanding market town of Wokingham in Berkshire. The congregation of 250 includes a number of families with pre-school and school age children. The church has strong engagement with the town community, and the role includes both an inward church family focus and an outward community focus.
