This is an exciting time to join us. Recognised as the UK’s Best Charity to Work For by the prestigious Sunday Times Annual Awards in 2019, we have developed three high-impact programmes that more and more churches across the UK are running and funding. This has led us to double in income in the last four years. We expect to do so again by 2026.
With more than 100 staff and income of over £5m, we have been upgrading our finance system and growing the finance team to keep pace but there is much more to do. Your task will be to continue this good work so that we have the appropriate systems, reporting and team capabilities for our scale now and in the future. Overseeing a team of 5 staff across finance and compliance, you will bring coherence, order to complexity and organisational excellence. You will also serve as Director of our commercial subsidiary Hope Park Business Centres that generates £800k of unrestricted funds for the charity.
We’re looking for a commercially minded and relational leader capable of developing the finance team and bringing strategic financial leadership to the organisation at every level. You’ll enjoy working in a growth context and come with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset and the high expectations that inspire excellence in all those around you. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team and playing a central role in developing the organisational strategy and culture you will have outstanding judgement and integrity.
