St George's Church
As a recently designated Resource Church we are looking for a visionary Youth Minister who loves working with young people, has experience in youth evangelism, making teenage disciples, training and building teams, as well as apostolic vision to help us transition from being a larger church to a Resource Church.
We currently have nearly sixty 11-18 year olds connected to church families, with one hundred 0-11’s transiting through our Children’s church . We would love to see more of our 14-18 year olds better connected. We have 60 volunteers across the children’s and youth ministry as a whole, and need to do some work on strengthening our youth teams.
We have just opened a new church centre in the middle of town with a designated youth space. We want to break new ground in the community with young people not yet part of the church. We wish to mobilise our own young people as disciples on mission with Jesus and therefore believe that this is an exciting opportunity for a gifted and experienced Youth Minister to step into strategic local leadership role.
The Youth Minister will help to support our church-planting curates and interns in pioneering new work alongside home based ministry. We aim to recruit four New Wine Discipleship Year Students each year who will need training in Youth ministry, alongside our other ministries. Our hope is to develop future youth and children’s workers in the new plants.
