Children's and Family Minister
St George's Church
As a recently designated Resource Church, St George’s is working in partnership with Lincoln Diocese to recruit a full time post with responsibilities for St George’s Children’s and Family Ministry, which includes 12 hours a week on the Diocesan Youth and Children’s Mission Enabling Team.
We are looking for a gifted Children’s and Family Minister who loves working with children, introducing them to Jesus, teaching the Bible, and resourcing families in the discipleship of their children. We have up to 100 children under 11 years old with us on a Sunday, plus many opportunities with the wider community through parent and toddler groups. Our current Youth and Children’s ministry team has over 60 volunteers across a variety of ministries.
Within the diocesan team you would be working with two other professional youth workers to advise parishes and promote good practice, especially in the south of Lincolnshire.
The Children’s and Family Minister will in time help to support our new church-planting curates and interns in pioneering new work alongside home based ministry. We aim to recruit four New Wine Discipleship Year Students each year who will need training in children’s ministry, alongside our other ministries. Our hope is to develop future youth and children’s workers in the new plants.
Please contact email@example.com for more information or an informal discussion.
