Divisional Youth Assistant
The role is required to support the mission of The Salvation Army by ensuring that young people and their leaders are encouraged, developed and resourced. The role will involve supporting the implementation and administration of a divisional youth programme in accordance with local needs, ensuring best fit with existing youth ministry. The role will work closely with the Divisional Youth Specialist.
You will Support the Divisional Youth Specialist in the development and implementation of a divisional youth programme in accordance with local needs, ensuring best fit with existing youth ministry. You will support young people in the development of their own discipleship. You will work with youth leaders and corps leaders in support of local ministry and to develop creative divisional events and residential activities.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge and experience of youth work values ; strong organisational and administrative skills; be able to organise events and lead discipleship programmes. You will need to be educated to “A” level or NVQ level 3.
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
