Youth Engagement Worker
One Church Brighton is an inclusive and vibrant church community, as well as a collective of transformational projects and two beautiful buildings, all committed to bringing hope and love to Brighton & Hove and beyond.
All that we do, across all of our projects and activities, is shaped by five core values:
- Intimacy with God
- Involvement in the world
- Interdependence with one another
- Inclusion of everyone
- Integrity in all we do
The person who joins our team will need to be not just comfortable but excited about upholding and championing those values. They will be someone who engages naturally with both young people and adults, volunteers and other staff, who is both personable and professional.
About the Role
One Youth Brighton is a key part of the wider One Church community, providing a range of free services to young people aged 10-25. The Youth Engagement Worker will lead these services, support and grow the volunteer teams that support them, and expand the reach of the projects so that we can meet and support as many young people as possible across Brighton and Hove.
We’ve been really fortunate to secure funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and this role is paid for by that grant.
Please find attached a more detailed role description and person specification.
