Part-Time Wellbeing Coordinator
Who Are We?
We are a growing multi –generational, multi-ethnic group of Jesus followers passionate about seeing our love of Jesus reflected in all that we do.
We believe that church should not be boring but life-transforming, and we aim to create a family atmosphere where all are welcome. We are active in our local community during the week supporting over 5000 people each year through our various projects. At 'The Well' building in Farnworth, we operate Farnworth and Kearsley Foodbank, Jeremiah Project (work club, adult education and money skills), Jeremiah Advice and Guidance (benefits and welfare focused), ESOL Classes (English for Speakers of Other Languages) a Befriending Project for older people and a mental health drop in. A Christian ethos is central to the work of the project.
About the Role
Overall responsibility of the job: Supporting Bolton residents to improve their mental health, physical health and overall wellbeing.
Responsible to: Social Action Manager
Term: 1 year fixed contract
Salary: £12,000 (£20,000 FTE)
Part-time: 21hrs/week. Mon, Wed & Fri: 9.30am – 5pm (negotiable)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and organised individual to join our team in supporting our local community. The role is to undertake holistic assessments and co-design a health & wellbeing goal plan for every service user who would like support in improving their mental health, physical and overall wellbeing. The role would involve working closely with all our community projects and linking with external organisations to signpost service users appropriately.
This role would be ideal for someone who has experience in a similar setting, has excellent communication/record keeping skills and is able to work on their own initiative as well as part of team.
