Cross-cultural mission placements

Do you have a heart for world mission? Are you willing to step out of your comfort zone to support cross-cultural mission workers, grow in your faith and be equipped for future ministry? If so, we might have the opening for you.

We have a range of cross-cultural placement programmes available, designed to grow your abilities and give you experience of ministry to Muslims.

Cross-cultural mission placements

Across the Arab world, church-planting teams are engaged in a wide range of ministry activities. No matter the location, teams spend much of their time meeting local people with the intention of having opportunities to share the Christian faith. If you have an interest in Islam and the Arab world, this is a fantastic chance to participate in cross-cultural mission and learn from long-term workers.

Although many placements are more heavily structured, some can be tailored around your particular interests and skills. For instance, several families are looking for people with experience of teaching to help them with their educational needs. Another placement option involves working with refugees in the Middle East.

If a UK placement is desired, there is also the opportunity to take part in a cross-cultural mission training programme, based in one of the most multi-cultural cities in the country. In this placement you would spend time as part of a diverse church-planting team, taking part in a broad range of ministry activities, growing your skills and building your own connections. This placement is specifically designed for those interested in pursuing ministry to Muslims in future.

Before any role begins, we require volunteers to go through our training which includes cross cultural preparation, a security briefing, a DBS check and safeguarding training.  We typically require short-term volunteers to raise support and we can advise on good ways to do this.
