St. Martin in the Bull Ring is a Church of England parish church in the Diocese of Birmingham. We are the historic parish church of Birmingham and there has been worship and prayer on this site for very nearly 800 years. St. Martin's has historically been associated with Birmingham's famous markets and remains embedded in the very heart of the city's retail and entertainment areas. It might be described as a church within an 'open, evangelical' tradition. St. Martin's is also associated with ministry to the vulnerable and this presently includes our Place of Welcome - Cuppa and Chat; Healing on the Streets,;and the ministry of our sister charity - the Centre for Health and Healing which also includes Street Level debt advice. Each week we have five acts of worship, each with their own character, and ministry with children and young people on Sunday mornings. Our premises are widely used for events, exhibitions, civic occasions, training, and the activities of various community groups. St. Martin's is home to an exceptional peel of sixteen bells and the outstanding St. Martin's Bell Ringers. There is an established link and support to the St. Martin's Youth Centre which has been supporting youth in the urban area immediately south of the city centre for over 50 years.
