London has many needs. People disagree on what it needs most: more schools and hospitals; less traffic, and improved air quality; more police, and less crime; more affordable housing, and less of a gap between rich and poor. There’s wisdom in all of this, but at London City Mission we believe that, most importantly, London needs Jesus. That’s why we got started in the beginning, and it remains our firm conviction today.
Two-thirds of the world’s population cannot get access to safe surgery when they need it. As a result, 17 million people die every year from conditions requiring surgery. This is higher than the number who die from TB, malaria and HIV/Aids combined. Mercy Ships is working to tackle this crisis. We operate the largest charity-run hospital ship in the world, delivering free, safe medical care to some of the world’s least-developed countries.
Gilead Foundations Charity offers accommodation at Risdon Farm in Devon, for people who require support and supervision to overcome issues in their life that relate to addictions & compulsive behaviours many of whom have experienced hardship, poverty, distress and homelessness.
We are a Christian organisation that is passionate about developing young people, bringing adventure into learning in the outdoors, to transform lives.
We give young people and those who are young at heart, a chance to experience exhilarating adventure in a safe and affirming environment. We help young people to push boundaries, widen their horizon, grow in confidence and discover capabilities they didn’t know they had.
We are on a mission to release thousands of families from grinding poverty through award winning debt counselling and community groups. By equipping and empowering local churches to reach out on their doorsteps, we’re bringing hope to over 21,500 families every year.
Always through the Church. Always hope.
A worldwide movement with a passion to share Jesus Christ with the hardest to reach young people.
For the last quarter of a century, we have been leading the way in reaching the hardest-to-reach with the life-transforming gospel of Jesus Christ. We are passionate about seeing other lives impacted by an encounter with Christ that leads to a lifestyle of discipleship.
We are a UK-based international charity working to beat leprosy. This disease affects the most vulnerable people in the world, causing life-changing disabilities, but there is a cure.
More than 600 people are diagnosed and start treatment each day, over 50 of these are children.
But, due to fear and lack of knowledge, there are over 3 million people across the world living with undiagnosed leprosy and every day the disease causes more damage to their health, livelihood and future.
The Redwoods Caring Foundation supports people with learning disabilities across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Redwoods exists to demonstrate God’s heart of love and His care to people who have learning disabilities. We honour, respect and value each person, seeking to recognise their individual potential. We aim to support and encourage them to accomplish their dreams and live fulfilled lives.
At Resurgo we're transforming society together, helping churches and individuals to develop excellent, sustainable initiatives that overcome social challenges, and help organisations to build really healthy working environments and to manage and measure the impact they're making. By bringing together skills and resources from across the wider neighbourhood, we tackle complex issues in a truly transformative way.
Here at Abernethy, our vision is to equip others (as well as ourselves) to try something new, work as a team and explore faith together. Through outdoor residential experiences across our four adventure centres and a bunkhouse in Scotland, we empower our staff teams to give young people opportunities to discover more about themselves, others and God.
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we will be a Spirit-filled, radical, growing movement, with a burning desire to lead people into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, actively serve the community, and fight for social justice.
Our identity and God-given mission as disciples of Jesus Christ are shaped by the values of the Kingdom of God. We love God with all our heart, soul, strength and mind, and we love our neighbour as Ourselves.
